    Before you travel

Check your passport and visa separately

The ED Card records travel information. It does not establish your visa eligibility or permitted stay in Aruba. Those rules depend on nationality, residence, travel purpose and route.

    • Use the passport you will carry when you travel.
    • Check passport validity and any visa requirement with the authority.
    • Check separate rules for transit, children and residents.

    Preparing your ED Card

Practical details for your next step. Immigration requirements can change; check the authority’s current instructions before submission.

Who needs the Aruba ED Card?

The official ED Card portal requires incoming tourists to complete the online registration. A person claiming a citizenship exemption must still provide basic details for the portal to confirm their status.

Cruise passengers usually do not need the card, but the tourism authority notes an exception for vessels whose passengers must pass Aruba Immigration. Check with your cruise line if your itinerary includes an immigration clearance.

The ED Card is not a visa or a promise of admission. Keep your passport and any separately required entry documents ready for the immigration assessment when you arrive.

    Complete the official ED Card

    1. Open edcardaruba.aw. Have your passport, contact details and travel information to hand.
    2. Enter the traveler and trip information exactly as shown in the documents you will use. Use an email address you can access during the journey.
    3. Follow the portal’s fee and exemption instructions. Where the sustainability fee applies, payment is integrated into the ED Card process.
    4. Review and submit the form, then keep the emailed confirmation and any fee receipt with your travel records. Check your name and itinerary again before departure.

The sustainability fee is separate from private assistance

Aruba’s published sustainability fee is US$20 for applicable visitors. The tourism authority lists exemptions and reimbursement circumstances, so use its current information to check your case rather than assuming every traveler pays.

The official portal lists Visa, Mastercard and Discover as accepted cards. Questions about the sustainability charge or its reimbursement go to Aruba Wastewater Sustainable Solutions (AWSS); immigration-form questions go to Aruba Immigration.

Our listed private service fee does not replace this official charge. If you submit directly, keep the authority’s payment receipt separate from any private-service receipt. Do not make another payment merely because a confirmation is delayed: first check the official portal and the relevant support channel.
