    Before you travel

Check your passport and visa separately

The e-Ticket records travel information. It does not establish your visa eligibility or permitted stay in Dominican Republic. Those rules depend on nationality, residence, travel purpose and route.

    • Use the passport you will carry when you travel.
    • Check passport validity and any visa requirement with the authority.
    • Check separate rules for transit, children and residents.

    Preparing your e-Ticket

Practical details for your next step. Immigration requirements can change; check the authority’s current instructions before submission.

An e-Ticket is a border declaration

The e-Ticket collects information for Dominican migration and customs authorities. It is separate from your airline ticket and does not, by itself, establish whether your passport needs a visa.

Use the official government portal. Complete the process through to its confirmation; a saved draft is not the same as a submitted declaration.

    Family trips and return flights

The tourism ministry describes one family form for up to seven people, including the person completing it. For a party of four, that means three additional family members. Larger families need another form for the remaining travelers.

Arrival and departure require separate declarations and QR codes. Keep both clearly labelled so that you do not present the departure code for the inbound journey. The official information accepts a printed code or one displayed on a device.

Prepare, submit and keep your application code

    1. Gather each traveler’s passport details and the final flight and accommodation information.
    2. Follow the official portal’s accepted travel dates and complete the declaration before airline check-in.
    3. Save the application code and QR confirmation together. The official “Consult E-ticket issued” option uses the application code to retrieve and correct a declaration.
    4. For your return trip, check that the departure declaration matches the final itinerary.

    When your family itinerary changes

Make a simple record of which traveler is included in each submission and which journey each confirmation covers. Compare it with the final airline booking after a rebooking or name correction.

For an enquiry, mention the destination, party size and whether the question concerns arrival, departure or a correction. Do not put passport numbers or copies of your documents in a general support message.

    Ask another question

The eTicket combines immigration, customs and health declarations for passengers entering or leaving the Dominican Republic. It is not a visa.

The government traveler guide says the form can be completed one week before arrival. Complete it before airline check-in and follow the current official portal instructions.

The eTicket replaces arrival/departure and declaration forms. Do not treat it as proof that a separate tourist-card fee, visa or other entry charge has been paid.

The official guide requires separate entry and departure submissions, with different QR codes.

Save it on your phone or print it. The official guide says customs may require it on arrival.

Submissions and payments are disabled. The application preview does not create an eTicket or a government QR code.
