What you need to apply
Have your passport and confirmed travel details to hand. Match every detail to your documents.
A travel declaration is not a visa. Immigration authorities make the final decision on entry. Check any separate visa requirements for your passport before travelling.
- 01Travel document; non-Singapore passports need at least 6 months validity
- 02Travel dates and transport information
- 03Accommodation and contact details
- 04Electronic health declaration
Requirements vary by traveler and itinerary. Use the official authority’s instructions to check any additional information required.

Before you travel
Check your passport and visa separately
The SGAC records travel information. It does not establish your visa eligibility or permitted stay in Singapore. Those rules depend on nationality, residence, travel purpose and route.
- Use the passport you will carry when you travel.
- Check passport validity and any visa requirement with the authority.
- Check separate rules for transit, children and residents.

Who submits, and who is exempt?
Travelers entering Singapore generally submit the SG Arrival Card. ICA exempts people transiting without immigration clearance and Singapore citizens, permanent residents and long-term pass holders entering through Woodlands or Tuas land checkpoints.
The resident exemption is tied to those land checkpoints. Do not assume the same exemption applies when arriving by air or sea. If you need to clear immigration to collect baggage or continue a journey, check ICA’s instructions for your actual route.
Complete your SG Arrival Card with ICA
- Open ICA’s SG Arrival Card e-Service or the official MyICA app. Select the traveler category that fits your status.
- Have your passport, contact details and Singapore itinerary ready. Check that the arrival date is the Singapore local date shown on your booking.
- Submit within three days including the arrival date. For example, a Friday arrival falls within the Wednesday-to-Friday window.
- Complete the health declaration accurately and check all details before submission. Retain the acknowledgement and follow ICA’s instructions for any necessary update.
Arrival card, visa and visit pass: different purposes
An SG Arrival Card does not replace a visa where one is required, and submitting it does not guarantee admission. Check ICA’s entry requirements for your travel document before relying on an airline itinerary alone.
After immigration clearance, the electronic visit pass records the stay granted to a visitor. Keep track of the actual permitted stay rather than treating an arrival-card acknowledgement as permission to remain for a particular number of days.
For practical preparation, store your travel confirmation and accommodation details where you can access them offline. Use a current email address, recheck passport spelling and review any changed flight details before you leave. These checks help prevent avoidable data mistakes; they do not change ICA’s eligibility decisions.
