Before you set off
Plan your Indonesia application
Choose the purpose and duration first, then confirm the current category on the Immigration Directorate’s visa selector.
The B1 route and C1 route have different stay periods and costs. Do not select a longer-stay product simply because a website calls every visitor document an eVisa.
If you may extend a stay, read the separate extension requirements and deadlines. A possible extension is not an automatic right to remain.
A few details worth double-checking
- An entry-validity deadline and a permitted stay are not interchangeable.
- Do not assume tourism permission allows local employment.
- Confirm every mandatory arrival declaration separately, even when a visa is already approved.
Good questions. Clear answers.
Your Indonesia visa questions
Is the Indonesian e-VOA an ETA?
No. It is an electronic Visa on Arrival. Keep it separate from arrival declarations and other travel authorizations.
Should I choose B1 or C1?
Compare the purpose, intended stay, passport eligibility and required evidence using the official selector. This guide does not automatically establish your eligibility.
