At a glance
Know your visa before you travel
- Entries
- Confirm the selected category on the official portal
- Permitted stay
- Up to 30 days; extension subject to official conditions
- Visa validity
- Check the enter-before date on the visa
Validity is the period when a visa can be used. Permitted stay is how long you can remain. Check both against your itinerary and the conditions on your issued document.
A little preparation goes a long way
Your document checklist
Have these details ready before you begin. The exact requirements depend on your passport and visa category; additional evidence may be requested.
- 01Passport details and required passport image
- 02Recent portrait following the portal instructions
- 03Visitor itinerary and supporting travel evidence requested for your category
Keep identity documents private. Document uploads are not open on iVisaPortal; please do not attach passports or identity documents to an enquiry email.
Know what you pay

Before you set off
Plan your Indonesia application
Choose the purpose and duration first, then confirm the current category on the Immigration Directorate’s visa selector.
The B1 route and C1 route have different stay periods and costs. Do not select a longer-stay product simply because a website calls every visitor document an eVisa.
If you may extend a stay, read the separate extension requirements and deadlines. A possible extension is not an automatic right to remain.
A few details worth double-checking
- An entry-validity deadline and a permitted stay are not interchangeable.
- Do not assume tourism permission allows local employment.
- Confirm every mandatory arrival declaration separately, even when a visa is already approved.
Good questions. Clear answers.
Your Indonesia visa questions
Is the Indonesian e-VOA an ETA?
No. It is an electronic Visa on Arrival. Keep it separate from arrival declarations and other travel authorizations.
Should I choose B1 or C1?
Compare the purpose, intended stay, passport eligibility and required evidence using the official selector. This guide does not automatically establish your eligibility.
Make every detail count
Prepare your passport and photo information, check your dates, and review the common details that cause avoidable corrections.
