Before you travel
Check your passport and visa separately
The TDAC records travel information. It does not establish your visa eligibility or permitted stay in Thailand. Those rules depend on nationality, residence, travel purpose and route.
- Use the passport you will carry when you travel.
- Check passport validity and any visa requirement with the authority.
- Check separate rules for transit, children and residents.

Preparing your TDAC
Practical details for your next step. Immigration requirements can change; check the authority’s current instructions before submission.
Who needs a TDAC?
Thailand requires an arrival declaration from non-Thai nationals entering by air, land or sea, including children and infants. Travelers who remain in transit without passing immigration and crew are exempt under the official information. A family submission can include up to 10 travelers.
The declaration is separate from a visa. A visa exemption does not itself mean you are exempt from the TDAC. Check your passport’s visa rules separately, especially if you plan to work, study or stay beyond a short visit.
How to complete the official form
- Open tdac.immigration.go.th and choose the arrival-card option. Submission on this official portal is free.
- Copy personal and passport details from the document you will carry. Check the passport number character by character.
- Enter your journey, arrival date and accommodation in Thailand. Answer the health-declaration questions and supply an email address you can access while traveling.
- Review every traveler, submit through the official portal and save the confirmation and QR document. Keep an offline copy in case airport connectivity is poor.
Dates, corrections and a return trip
Use the dates accepted by the official portal when you are within the submission window. Read your itinerary’s local arrival date carefully; an overnight flight can arrive on a different calendar day from departure.
The portal offers updates, but some identity fields require a fresh submission. Follow its correction instructions rather than assuming every field can be edited. For another entry into Thailand, complete a new TDAC for that journey.
Before leaving, compare the saved document with your passport and final itinerary. Keep the latest confirmation easy to find, separately from old trip records. If the official confirmation is missing, use the authority’s help instructions; an iVisaPortal form preview is not a substitute.
